2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the commencement of friendly relations between Hyogo Prefecture and Khabarovsk, which first signed an agreement in 1969.
In commemoration, 70 members of the friendship delegation group including Governor of Hyogo Prefecture Toshizo Ido visited Khabarovsk and met with Governor Sergey Furgal in August. The two governments signed a joint statement and agreed to the promotion of vigorous exchange and to the strengthening of friendship and solidarity through the visit.
