On September 22, CHOI Ju-hwa, director of the International Cooperation Department and other staff members of the NEAR Secretariat attended receptions celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Russian Consulate General in Busan on September 19 and the 74th Anniversary of Founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the 30th Anniversary of the Chinese Consulate General in Busan. These events were held at the Paradise Hotel in Busan. They attended on behalf of Secretary General LIM Byung-jin, who was away on a business trip to China.

The reception organized by DUDNIK Oksana, Russian Consul-General in Busan, featured a small exhibition space showcasing historical documents from the time of the Russian Consulate in Busan (1903-1923), which preceded the current Russian Consulate General in Busan.

During his welcome address, CHEN Ribiao, Chinese Consul-General emphasized the “close and inseparable relationship between China and Korea, highlighting their status as neighboring nations and vital cooperative partners. He called for even closer collaboration between the two nations.”
