NEAR Public Officials Seconded from Foreign Countries Experienced the Past, Present, and Future of Incheon

Familiarization Tour co-hosted by Inchoen International Relations Foundation and Incheon Development & Tourism Corporation was held on November 28 in Songdo, Incheon, under the theme of ‘The past, present, and future of Incheon 2014’. The event was arramged to promote Songdo, Incheon growing day by day by inviting staffs of international organizations and international relations organizations in Korea and to provide an opportunity to introduce Korean traditional culture and provide an opportunity to experience it
In the morning, with a presentation on Songdo, Inchoen, participants visited G-Tower and tried out water taxi. In the afternoon, participants paid a visit to Songdo Conventia and experienced how to make Kimchi ,and looked around unusual accommodations such as Oakwood Hotel and Nest Hotel.
Two NEAR Secretariat staffs with public officials seconded from foreign countries joined the event and talked with staffs of Inchoen Metropolitan City. It was a chance to experience Korea through trying Korean food and experiencing traditional culture noticing growth in Inchoen increasing its status in the world.
On the 27th, they made a tour of Suwon Hwaseong and a temporary palace built by King Jeong-jo of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea and watched martial arts used in military training.
