Secretary General Kim participated in the World Summit of Regions for Climate held on October 10-11 in Paris, France. The World Summit of Regions for Climate, hosted by R20 Regions of Climate Action and led by Arnold Schwarzenegger, founder of R20 and Michele Sabban, President of R20 Regions of Climate Action formalized world agreement on climate change with regions, regional governments, and economy leaders from five countries and co-declared a concrete project for COP21 which will be held in Paris in 2015. Secretary General Kim delivered his keynote speech for plenary 2, themed “The COP21 positive agenda as seen by regional actors” and engaged in discussions as well.
