On March 17 (Thur.), a group of NEAR Secretariat staff visited Youngilman Port in Pohang City. The Secretariat listened to the introduction of the Port and hopped on a car to have a tour around the place. NEAR foreign staff members showed interest in Youngilman Port and raised questions about the types of cargo delivered between their home countries and South Korea through Youngilman Port as well as the specific features of the Port. At the visit, NEAR Secretariat-General Jun Jae-won stated that Pohang Yongilman Port will play a significant role as a logistics hub in the Northeast Asia.
