NEAR Secretary-General, Jun Jae-won, attended Declaration Ceremony of 'the Year of Chinese Visit to Daegu·Gyeongbuk 2016' in February 26 (Fri.) at Seoul Plaza Hotel. Around 200 people, including Kim Kwan-yong, the Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Kwon Young-jin, Mayor of Daegu Metropolitan City, Qiu Guohong, Chinese Ambassador in the Republic of Korea, participants from tourism industry, and reporters from various media, attended the event. This event was co-hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. NEAR’s Secretary-General Jun met with the Chinese Ambassador, Qiu Guohong, introduced NEAR to the Ambassador, and invited him for a closer attention to NEAR. Meanwhile, during the event, Lee Sang-Yoon, a Korean actor, was appointed as a 'Promotional Ambassador' of 'The Year of Chinese Visit to Daegu·Gyeongbuk 2016' project. Also, an MOU with a representative of Chinese tour agencies was signed. At Cheonggye Square, nearby Seoul Plaza Hotel, the unveiling ceremony of a promotional statue was held and various materials of advertisement were distributed.
