Seventeen Representatives of Mongolian Parliament visited NEAR in Pohang In February 19 (Fri.) as a part of visiting politically developed region for capacity building of local governments. The Mongolian Delegate met the Secretary General JUN and the 16 secretariat. At the visit, Secretary General Boldbaatar of the Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia has mentioned that the Mongolian local governments have put much effort in strengthening the capacity of self-governing bodies in various ways and hope to build a closer relationship with NEAR that connects the local governments of the two countries. Secretary General JUN of NEAR responded that “As every regional government of Mongolia is a member of NEAR, the NEAR secretariat is willing to actively cooperate with local government bodies of Mongolia for prosperity through information exchanges.
