NEAR Secretary-General Jun made a presentation at the Northeast Asia Environment Forum on Tuesday May 24 for the residents in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. He introduced various projects for environment protection run by the NEAR Sub-Committee on Environment and also introduced other meetings and plans of NEAR. Secretary-General Jun emphasized that it is strongly suggested that the regional governments in Northeast Asia continuously take action and create strategies for environmental protection. His presentation attracted much interest from approximately 650 forum attendees in Toyama Prefecture with regards to the projects of NEAR for environmental protection.
