The Gyeongbuk Global Academic Center opened on Feb. 14 at Gyeongbuk National University. Gyeongbuk province is the first regional government to establish a school to help foreigners adjust to life in Korea to prevent foreigners from having difficulty adjusting to life in Korea.

The program, which includes a two-week course for international students and a one-day course for foreign workers, covers Korean topics, foreign policy, legal system, living information, cultural, industrial, economic, and settlement conditions, and visits to industrial sites.

"Through the Gyeongbuk Global Academy, we will help international students visiting our province understand Gyeongbuk more easily and have no difficulty settling down," said Gyeongbuk Governor LEE Cheol-woo, adding, "We will carry out a more cohesive and warm coexistence and inclusion policy so that foreigners can live without any inconvenience from entry to settlement.
