On November 1, CHOI Ju-hwa, director of the NEAR International Cooperation Department, participated in the Award Ceremony of the "Korea-China Youth Exchange UCC Competition" held at the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Busan, Korea.

The event was attended by CHEN Ribiao, Chinese consul-general in Busan, LEE Chun-young, dean of the Graduate School of Global Talent at Yeungnam University and more than 30 representatives of winners. The certificates and cash prizes were presented to the winner.

Mr. Chen told the winners that he hoped the contest would serve them as an opportunity to broaden understanding between Korea and China and convey friendship among young people. 

The contest was jointly organized by the NEAR Secretariat, the Chinese Consulate-General in Busan, and Yeungnam University. It was open to university students from either Korea or China, who submitted various UCC creations based on the culture, food, and travel destinations of the two countries. As a result, 22 teams were awarded, 11 from Korea and 11 from China.
