The Head of the Republic of Buryatia Sends an Invitation Letter to the NEAR Secretary-General2024-10-10

On October 4, Tsydenov Alexey, head of the Republic of Buryatia, sent an official letter in which he highly praised the level of the 14th NEAR High-Level Working Committee recently held in Liaoning Province in September. He also appreciated the NEAR Secretary-General’s efforts to strengthen regional cooperation in Northeast Asia.
Additionally, Mr. Tsydenov expressed his hope to welcome Mr. Lim to Buryatia at any time.
The Republic of Buryatia, a founding member of NEAR, has applied to become the next NEAR chair. Located in the southeast of Lake Baikal, the region has a population of approximately 970,000. Its capital city is Ulan-Ude. Buryatia has extensive experience hosting large-scale international events, and is known for its unique blend of Asian and European cultures and traditions.
