On November 21, NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin had a meeting with Urgamal Byambasuren, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary of Mongolia, at Lotte Hotel who was visiting South Korea.
Expressing his pleasure to meet Mr. Byambasuren again in Seoul, following their previous meeting in Mongolia in April, Mr. Lim provided an overview of NEAR's recent activities, the status of exchanges between NEAR and Mongolian member regional governments, and the roles that Mongolian member governments are playing within NEAR. He also requested continued interest and support from Mr. Byambasuren to ensure active participation of Mongolian member governments in various NEAR activities.
In response, Mr. Byambasuren highly acknowledged the significant role that NEAR has been playing in promoting multilateral exchanges among Northeast Asian regional governments and within the broader international community. Furthermore, he pledged to encourage Mongolian member governments to actively participate in various NEAR activities, emphasizing his role as the director overseeing Mongolian regional governments.
