On September 25, NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin met with Wang Zhizhong, director-general of the Qinghai Foreign Affairs Office, during the 14th High-Level Working Committee.
Expressing his congratulations on Qinghai’s joining NEAR as the 82nd regular member, Mr. Lim encouraged Mr. Wang to actively participate in NEAR activities and promote exchange and cooperation among regional governments in Northeast Asia by utilizing the NEAR platform.
Mr. Wang provided an overview of the Qinghai region, highlighting its economy, industries, mineral reserves, unique ethnic minority culture, and rich natural tourism resources. He expressed his hope to engage with other member region through NEAR and extended an invitation to Mr. Lim to visit Qinghai in the near future.
