At the invitation of the Pohang International Art Fair 2024, thirty-two prize-winning artworks from the NEAR Youth Art Contests were displayed at Gallery Sang Saeng from August 23 to 28.

Marking its 8^th edition this year, the Pohang International Art Fair 2024 was held under the theme “Harmony & Joy” across Seoul, Pohang, and Turkey. Around 1,000 diverse artworks by over 100 artists from South Korea were showcased at the fair. In addition to the artworks from the NEAR Youth Art Contest, works by prominent Korean artists and celebrities were also displayed for both adults and teenagers from the local communities.

The NEAR Youth Art Contest has been hosted from March to October every year since 2013, with an aim to help teenagers of Northeast Asia better understand the cultures of their neighboring countries. 

This year, the registration for the 12^th NEAR Youth Art Contest is due by September 13, and the theme is “The Mythic Stories of Our Regions or Countries.”
