Overview:
- The 23 young men and women and trainees from 7 organizations from 4 countries (3 from Korea, 1 from Japan, 2 from China, and 1 from Russia) interacted with the people of Shimane Prefection through orientation and home stay (July 29-31).
- Experienced “volunteer activities,” the major topic of this year’s wing of exchange on Aug 1. Made mobile phone accessories using shells collected at Lake Shinjiko in Simane Prefecture and gave them to the patients and senior at Yasugi Shelter during the visit in the afternoon.
- Held a discussion session on Aug 2 to discuss 'The essential spirit and attitude of volunteer activities and opinions about the shelter.’
- This event incorporated the idea of a young man from Shimane Prefecture who is working for the shelter and earned the compliment that the Wing of Exchange is earning the interests of its participants.
