History

  • Tuv Province was initially established at Ovor Dolood, the region covering Bogdkhan Mountain, with 21 Khoshuu in 1923. Ovor Dolood is currently called as Lun Sum. The main city of the province was Ulaanbaatar in 1931. After that, Zuun Modnii am has been the main city of the province since 1942.

  • Area : 74,800㎢
  • Location: Tuv Aimag embeds the capital Ulaanbaatar City. It belongs to a steppe area, with Khangai, Khentii Mountains, and Dornod Mongol. Its borders Bulgan, Selenge, Khentii, Dundgovi, and Uvurkhangai Province.
  • Climate: Average temperature is 18~25 degrees in the summer and 15~30 degrees below zero during the winter. Its average annual rainfall is 200~300 mm
