○ As a special member of NEAR, the City of Pohang participated in the 15th NEAR High-Level Working Committee held in Ulaan-Ude, Russia, where it promoted its capabilities as an international conference host and presented its vision as a future-oriented industrial city, enhancing its profile as a competitive global MICE city.
○ The city introduced its plan to develop a comprehensive MICE platform centered on the Pohang International Exhibition & Convention Center (POEX), which is scheduled to open in 2027. The platform will integrate international conferences, exhibitions, tourism, and culture. Pohang also conducted promotional activities to attract future NEAR events.
