On May 19, Georgy Zinoviev, Russian Ambassador to Korea held a meeting with Yoon Chang-yong and Lee Tae-rim, both newly appointed to jurisdictions covering Russian member governments of the Association of North East Asia Regional Governments.
During the meetings, Ambassador Georgy Zinoviev congratulated the two consuls general on their appointments, and they exchanged wide-ranging views on matters of mutual interest.
Consul General Yoon Chang-yong and Consul General Lee Tae-rim expressed their intention to actively cooperate in expanding exchanges with Russian regional governments within their respective consular jurisdictions and in promoting interregional cooperation between South Korea and Russia.
The NEAR Secretariat provided support to facilitate these meetings.
