The NEAR Secretariat signed an MOU with Handong Global University (HGU) located in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province on April 2 (Mon.), 2018 for the globalization of the local youth.
The signing was held at HGU and attended by NEAR Secretary-General Hong Jong-kyoung, and HGU President Chang Soon-heung,  and high-level HGU faculty members and NEAR staff members.

Based on the MOU, the two organizations will develop and co-hold exchange and cooperation programs in Northeast Asia together. This August, the two organizations will host their first co-hosted activity, the2018 Northeast Asia Young Leaders Forum under the theme, "The Role of Youth for the Better Future of Northeast Asia.”
