○ The unveiling ceremony for the Korea-China Friendship Tower was held on May18(Mon), 2015 at Taohua Tan in Chan-Ba National Wetland Park, Xian City
○ The ceremony was attended by more than 200 people, including Korean delegates- Governor Kim Kwan-yong of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and NEAR Secretary General Jun Jae-won and local residents. Also, 150 staff from the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, Xian Municipal Government, and National Wetland Park participated in the ceremony.
○ The Dabotap, a Korean national treasure no. 20, was promoted as part of a project for humanities exchange between Korea and China when Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Shaanxi Province were selected as theme city for humanities exchange after signing a sisterhood relation. The tower was established as Gyeongsangbuk-do Province donated a replica which is full scale of Dabotap to Shaanxi Province. It is expected to upgrade cultural exchange between Korea and China in the future.
