Vedernikov Aleksandr, Speaker of the Irkutsk Region Legislative Assembly, delivered a letter of appreciation on 18 December to NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin, expressing his gratitude for the invitation to the 2025 NEAR International Forum.
In his letter, Speaker Vedernikov noted that the forum was conducted successfully at a high level and provided a valuable opportunity for representatives of local legislatures from Northeast Asian countries to convene, engage in substantive exchange, and establish new and productive cooperation relationships. He further conveyed his willingness to maintain constructive and long-term dialogue with NEAR member governments in the future.
Speaker Vedernikov attended the 2025 NEAR International Forum, held in Gyeongju on 9 December, where he delivered a presentation on best practices in the operation of the Irkutsk Region Legislative Assembly and underscored the importance of youth exchanges and parliamentary diplomacy.
