NEAR Secretariat held a workshop for its staffs on October 26-27, 2006 in a rest home in the Chilbo mountain near Yongdeok city. The main themes under discussion were directions of NEAR development and stimulation of exchanges in 2007.

     During the workshop Secretary-General addressed the report of "Home of Peace and Prosperity," and the participants discussed issues such as recruitment of a specialist on Mongolia, reconstruction of the Association’s website at the 3rd stage as well as 36 items proposed by representatives from 16 member regional governments at the Busan NEAR General Assembly meeting.
