On September 16, Governor Mr. Ma Qizhi of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Governor Khalid Maqbool of Punjab Province signed the agreement of establishing friendly relations between Ningxia and Punjab in Yinchuan. Both parties also signed the agreement of dispatching or exchanging foreign students mutually and the cooperative frame agreement of building a cement plant in Punjab Province. Governor Khalid Maqbool hoped that both parties could strengthen communication and cooperation in the fields of infrastructure construction, manufacture, the agricultural products processing industry, tourism and education through the establishment of mutual friendly relations. Vice Governor Wang Zhengwei and Vice Chairman Cheng Yuning of CPPCC Ningxia Committee attended the signing ceremony.
