[Russia-Khabarovsk Region] Multifaceted Expansion of Exchange with Northeast Asian Regions2017-12-21

Sports exchange through joint training programs in boxing and wrestling between Khabarovsk and Heilongjiang Province have continued over the past 25 years. The exchange will be expanded to promote bandy, or Russian hockey, between the two regions. From January 29 to February 4, 2018, the Bandy World Championships will be held in Khabarovsk City and Harbin City. In December 2017, a delegation of the Khabarovsk Region visited Harbin City and shared their experiences with the Bandy World Championships. JGC Evergreen is the first foreign company which invested in Khabarovsk Investment Complex. As the first foreign firm, it started cultivating vegetables using the organic greenhouse complex at stage one, which yielded its first crop in February 2016. In March 2016, organic vegetables appeared on the market. As construction for the stage two greenhouse village is due to start, it is expected to yield an annual crop of around 13 million tons of fresh vegetables, such as tomatoes and cucumbers.
