NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin, held a meeting with Hong Soon-chang, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Xi’an, on the occasion of attending the “2nd NEAR Shaanxi Province Subcommittee on Traditional Medicine” held in Ankang City, Shaanxi Province.
Secretary-General Lim expressed his gratitude for accepting the invitation to attend the subcommittee and deliver congratulatory remarks. He went on to share the recent update on NEAR and outlined the major events planned for this year. He also acknowledged the significant contributions of Gansu Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Shaanxi Province, under the jurisdiction of the Xi’an Consulate General, to NEAR’s development. In particular, he introduced the Tourism Subcommittee to be held in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in September this year, and requested the continued interest and support of the Consulate General.
Consul General Hong highly praised NEAR for its important role as a multilateral cooperation platform among local governments in Northeast Asia. He expressed his intention to pay greater attention to NEAR going forward and to actively support its activities.
Meanwhile, the meeting was also attended by Ahn Soo-hyun, Senior Researcher at the Xi’an Consulate General, and Choi Juhwa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of NEAR.
