On April 29 (Tuesday), NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin visited Deputy Director Li Bing of the Hunan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and met with Deputy Director Fan Huafeng of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Foreign Affairs Office, who participated in the 2nd NEAR Subcommittee Meeting on Traditional Medicine held in Ankang City.
Secretary-General Lim expressed his gratitude for their attendance at the Traditional Medicine Subcommittee Meeting. He also stated that, as a founding member of NEAR and the coordinator government of both the Subcommittees on Tourism and Cross-border E-commerce, Hunan Province is expected to further expand exchanges with NEAR member governments.
Regarding the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, he highly appreciated its active participation in various NEAR events since its accession. He discussed agenda items including the schedule of the Tourism Subcommittee Meeting to be held within this year, and expressed his hope that exchanges and cooperation in the field of tourism would be further promoted.
In response, Deputy Director Li Bing said that Hunan Province would actively fulfill its role as the coordinator of the Tourism and Cross-border E-commerce Subcommittees and make greater use of the NEAR platform. He also invited Secretary-General Lim to attend and deliver congratulatory remarks at the “2025 Zhengzhou International E-commerce Conference” scheduled to be held in Zhengzhou, Hunan Province from May 29 to 31.
Meanwhile, the Tourism Subcommittee Meeting to be hosted by the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was agreed to be held in September.
