Hyogo Prefecture Held the 5th Sub-Committee Meeting on Disaster Prevention
The 5th Sub-Committee meeting on Disaster Prevention was held in Kobe and Miki City of Hyogo Prefecture from February 13 to 16. Hyogo Prefecture, a coordinator of the Sub-Committee, proposed the plan of cross-border cooperation of disaster prevention, such as unifying signs and designs of aiding products, in order to cooperatively cope with draught, flood, earthquake and snow damage in the region.
The Sub-Committee meeting was proceeded with the lecture on disaster prevention and experiences of earthquake and avoiding hazardous gas. A total of 28 people from 14 members of 5 countries, along with 2 from NEAR Secretariat, participated in the meeting.
