On April 20, 2018, the NEAR Secretariat invited Dr. Park Sung-joon of the Korea Maritime Institute to give a special lecture titled, “The Current Status of Logistics in Northeast Asia and Activation Plan” at the Pohang Techno Park building which is home to the NEAR Secretariat.

Dr. Park Sung-joon gave a presentation on the current status of logistics policies in the Northern region, the potential and activation plan regarding the use of the Suifenhe corridor (Primorye I) and Tumen Corridor (Primorye II).

At the lecture, officials from Pan East Sea Regional Headquarters of Gyeongsagnbuk-do Province, and Pan East Sea Future Strategy Headquarters from Pohang City Government participated as showing great interest of the region in activation and promotion of logistics cooperation in Northeast Asia.
