NEAR Secretariat Holds Meeting with Heilongjiang Province, China to Discuss the First Subcommittee Meeting on Logistics and Transportation2018-04-04

A delegation headed by Acting Director Park Sung-min of the International Cooperation Department visited the Heilongjiang Provincial Transportation and Logistics Department on March 27, 2018. The delegation held a meeting with officials including Vice Director Ban Yan regarding the plans and schedule of the first subcommittee meeting on Transportation and Logistics to be held in Heilongjiang Province this year. Acting Director Park delivered a message from the NEAR Secretariat asking for support, and for the subcommittee to act as a platform for exchange, not only among NEAR member regional governments, but also a representative of localities such as cities, villages, and associate companies to promote discussions and exchange for the development of logistics in Northeast Asia.


Then the NEAR delegation visited a company named Heilongjiang Longyun Group under the Ministry of Transportation and listened to briefings on the operation status of the Longyun Group. Then the delegation suggested the participation of the group in the first NEAR Subcommittee on Logistics and Transportation exchanged opinions on future cooperation plans. After that, the delegation visited the logistics complex in Heilongjiang Province.




Heilongjiang Longyun Group is a state-owned enterprise under the Heilongjiang Province Transportation and Logistics Department. It operates freight transportation using highways, railways, and road transportation such as long-distance intercity buses and taxis, and license training. The company is a company handling international logistics to Russia and Europe from China.



On the evening of March 27 (Tue.), the delegation had an official dinner with the officers of the Foreign Affairs Office of Heilongjiang Province, including the Deputy Chief Yáng Hóngpéng.
