Hwang Myung-suk, Vice Governor for Administration of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, visited the NEAR Secretariat in the afternoon of September 7 and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest with Lim Byung-jin, Secretary-General of NEAR.
Secretary-General Lim welcomed Vice Governor Hwang’s visit, expressed gratitude for Gyeongsangbuk-do’s significant contributions to NEAR’s development such as supporting the operation of the Secretariat and the province's continued operation of the Economy and Humanities Exchange Subcommittee, and requested continued interest and support for NEAR moving forward.
In response, Vice Governor Hwang noted with appreciation that NEAR is expanding its network as a multilateral regional government cooperation organization encompassing Southeast and Central Asia with its platforms getting revitalized.
He responded that he would continue supporting NEAR’s ongoing development.
