Ms. Altanchimeg, an official from Tuv Aimag, has been appointed as the new Mongolian Liaison Officer at the NEAR Secretariat.
On Thursday, October 30, Ms. Altanchimeg received her letter of appointment from NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin and officially commenced her duties.
Ms. Altanchimeg completed a Master’s program in Educational Administration at Kyungpook National University’s Graduate School of Education and served as a teacher for four years at Tuv Aimag’s No. 4 Primary and Secondary School.
She will serve in the International Cooperation Department of the NEAR Secretariat, where she will be responsible for communication and coordination with Mongolian member regional governments. With her excellent command of the Korean language, she is expected to perform her duties successfully.
Her predecessor, Molgoljin, who served as the Mongolian Liaison Officer from October 2024 to October 2025, completed his term on Sunday, October 26. Secretary-General Lim expressed his deep appreciation for Ms. Molgoljin’s contributions to the development of the NEAR Secretariat over the past year and presented him with a letter of appreciation.
