On October 29, Kim Ok-chae, former NEAR Secretary-General and former Consul General of Korea in Yokohama and Fukuoka, Japan, visited the NEAR Secretariat and had a cordial meeting with Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin and the Secretariat officers.
Secretary-General Lim briefed on NEAR's recent progress and development, as well as the plans for the 30th Anniversary commemorative events scheduled for next year. He also requested the continued interest and support of the former Secretary-General to help ensure NEAR's sustained growth.
Former Secretary-General Kim Ok-chae expressed his pleasure about NEAR's remarkable quantitative and qualitative development in recent years and stated that he would continue to support the organization so that it can further strengthen its role as a leading international organization for regional governments in Northeast Asia.
