On Tuesday, June 24, Mr. Lee Won-chun, Director (Grade: Section Chief) of the East Sea Strategy Planning Division under the East Sea Headquarters of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, visited the NEAR Secretariat along with two other officials.
During the visit, the delegation discussed possible joint domestic and international exhibitions of the winning works from the NEAR Youth Art Contest, as well as enhancing cultural exchange between local Korean art organizations—including those based in Pohang—and NEAR member governments. The exchange would utilize the NEAR platform as a vehicle for civil-sector diplomacy and cooperation.
On Tuesday, June 24, Mr. Woo Dae-beom, Head of the Saemaul Globalization Team under the Saemaul Volunteer Affairs Division of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, visited the NEAR Secretariat along with two other officials.
The delegation discussed potential avenues for cooperation with the NEAR Secretariat regarding the globalization of the Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement).
