〇 Governor Kim Tae-heum of Chungcheongnam-do attended the “EP100 Roundtable on Energy Efficiency Improvement” held on May 8 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Singapore. During the event, he introduced Chungcheongnam-do’s carbon neutrality policies and participated in discussions with key stakeholders on enhancing energy efficiency across industries and regions.
〇 Governor Kim is currently serving as Co-Chair for the Asia–Pacific region for the 2024–2026 term, having been re-elected to the position. Chungcheongnam-do is also scheduled to host the “2025 Carbon Neutrality International Conference” in September this year.
〇 The Under2 Coalition is the only global subnational network established by The Climate Group, the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to addressing the climate crisis. Founded in May 2015, the coalition currently includes over 200 subnational governments from 45 countries, all working toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
