On November 26, six students from the Department of Japanese Language and Literature at Dongguk University’s WISE campus, along with Professor Lee Hong-chun, visited the NEAR Secretariat. During their visit, they were briefed on NEAR’s current activities, engaged in discussions with the Specialists on Japan, and met with Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin.
Extending his warm welcome to the students, Mr. Lim stressed the importance of promoting youth exchange among Northeast Asia for the peace and cooperation of the region. He also encouraged the students to consider participating in the NEAR Young Leaders Forum event.
Professor Lee said that immersing oneself in the local environment is essential for learning a language, noting that today presented such an invaluable opportunity to do so.
