Meeting for the Second Half of 2018 Between Representatives of NEAR Member Regional Governments and the Secretariat Held2018-11-02

On the evening of Monday, October 29, 2018, the NEAR Secretariat held a meeting for the second half of the year for the representatives of the Mongolian NEAR member regional governments who were attending the 12th NEAR General Assembly. At the official dinner meeting, NEAR Secretary-General Hong Jong-Kyoung presented the current state of cooperation between the Mongolian member regional governments and the NEAR Secretariat and exchanged views and plans for deeper cooperation and closer relationships among NEAR members including Mongolian regional governments through the NEAR Secretariat.

 


The meeting was attended by 10 representatives of NEAR member Mongolian provinces, including the governor of Bayan-Ulgiy Province, Aip Gylymkhan, 6 other governors of Bayanhogor Province, Govi-Altai Province, Govi-Sumber Province, Orkhon Province, Uvurkhangai Province, Uvs Province, the chairman of the Council of Dundgovi Province, and the Director of Arkhangai Province from Mongolia. From the NEAR Secretariat, four staff members including Secretary-General Hong Jong-Kyung, Director of Planning and Public Relations Kwon Tae-nam, Manager of Planning and General Affairs Keum Du-Yeon, Seconded Official from Mongolia Azzaya, and Expert on Mongolia Hishigjargal attended the meeting. The meeting between the NEAR Secretariat and representatives of NEAR member Mongolian regional governments is held twice a year, So far, it has been held 3 times since 2017.
