NEAR Secretary-General JUN Jae-won attended the 9th Anniversary Celebration Day of the Northeast Asian Community & Studies Institute on November 3 at Seoul Press Center. At the Ceremony, held by the Northeast Asian Community & Studies Institute and supported by the Ministry of Unification of Korea and Hansun Foundation, various events took place: International Conference under the theme of 'The Changing State of Northeast Asia and the Direction of Korean Diplomacy’, ‘Northeast Asia International Cooperation Prize Ceremony’, and ‘2016 Essay Contest for Unification Award Ceremony.’ NEAR received the ‘Northeast Asia International Cooperation Prize’ in 2015 as a leading organization for regional diplomatic cooperation in Northeast Asia, having contributed to promoting active exchange and constructive cooperation among regional governments, and for creating a peaceful environment in the region.
