The 16th sub-committee meeting on Education and Cultural Exchange was held on Aug. 19th in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. In total, 25 university students, including 3 from Shimane Prefecture, Japan, 3 participants from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, 3 from Jilin Province, China, 3 from Dongguk University, South Korea, 3 from Uiduk University, South Korea, 5 from Primorsky Territory, and 1 from Govi-Altai Province, Mongolia participated in the meeting this year. With the participation of Mongolian members, the meeting this year was particularly meaningful due to the attendance of all 5 Northeast Asian members. The ‘Wings of Northeast Asia Exchange in Shimane' was held between August 19th to 24th, where opinions were exchanged concerning tourism promotion policies and the provision of various programs such as homestay and traditional cultural experience.
