An MOU between NEAR and ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) was signed on June 16 (Thurs.) The Secretary-General of NEAR Jun Jae-won and the Secretary-General of ICLEI Gino Van Begin signed the MOU for the cooperation of interests and knowledge sharing in the areas of environmental issues, energy efficiency, among other items at the ICLEI East Asia Secretariat office in Seoul, South Korea. The two organizations will be working closely together on areas of shared interests for a sustainable future and looking forward to enjoying further cooperation and mutual understanding among the regions in Northeast Asia through the network built today. ICLEI is the leading global network of more than 1,000 cities, towns and regions from 86 countries committed to building a sustainable future.
