Ministry of Railways of China announced that the special passenger railways for high-speed trains are under construction and will be completed its construction by the end of 2010. The length of the railway is estimated to be more than 1,000 kilometers.

Eleven passenger railways for high-speed train were being built starting from last year, including the railway between Zhengzhou of Henan Province and Xian of Shaanxi Province. If the construction is done, it will only take two and a half hours from Zhengzhou to Xian.

The railway between the two cities is the only special passenger railway for high-speed trains constructed by Henan Province.
