NEAR Secretary-General Holds a Meeting with a Mongolian Delegation2023-12-13

On December 6, Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin convened a meeting with a delegation comprising presenters, director-generals, and honorary ambassadors representing Mongolian members participating in the NEAR International Forum and the 14th Subcommittee on Economy and Humanities Exchange.


Mr. Lim expressed appreciation to the Mongolian delegation for their active participation in the forum, despite their demanding end-of-year schedules. He encouraged them to continue engaging proactively in NEAR activities. 


In response, B. Javkhlan, vice-governor of Darkhan-Uul Province, conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Mongolian members for the event invitation. He assured continued active involvement in future NEAR activities and expressed best wishes for the success of the NEAR International Forum.



Meanwhile, JAMIYAN Battur, an associate professor of the History of International Relations at the National University of Mongolia, who was invited to speak at the NEAR International Forum, expressed appreciation for NEAR's dynamic promotion of cooperation in the Northeast Asia region. He emphasized the urgency of inter-regional cooperation to enhance the external relations of local governments, underscoring the forum's significance in strengthening the international exchange capacity of local governments.



SANGIDORJ Gotov, an honorary ambassador of NEAR, extended gratitude for the forum invitation and pledged to actively leverage his experiences from the event to promote NEAR.

 


The NEAR International Forum and the 14th Subcommittee on Economy and Humanities Exchange saw the participation of 23 delegates from 10 Mongolian member regions.
